How much does an SEO campaign cost?

Effective search engine optimization (SEO) can be costly due to the considerable amount of time, expertise, and effort needed to fine-tune a website for natural search rankings. This involves in-depth research of keywords, scrutinizing competitors, crafting content, devising link-building tactics, and more.

These tasks demand experienced professionals with the skills to deliver results, thus driving up the cost of SEO services. Moreover, SEO is an ever-evolving domain that necessitates ongoing vigilance and tweaks as search algorithms and market trends shift. Maintaining high-quality SEO requires continuous upkeep, adding to the time and financial investment.

However, investing in robust SEO strategies is beneficial over time, enhancing site traffic, elevating brand recognition, and increasing leads or sales, justifying the expenditure for numerous businesses.

Search engine optimization is a process, not an event. It requires a multi-month campaign and a minimum of 3 months, but ideally 12+ months for significant results.

SEO is like boiling water. We turn on the stove to high heat, but it’s going to take a while before you start to see anything happen. After a while you’ll see some small bubbles and then as we start to get traction and apply that heat for long enough, things will start to boil. It’s important to commit to multiple months—some people are inclined to turn the heat off right before it starts boiling and then they think it doesn’t work.

A monthly SEO campaign typically costs between $650 (low end), $2000 (average) to $5000+ (high end) depending on a number of factors:

  • The number of businesses that are trying to promote the same keywords
  • Your target location
  • How many pages you are trying to promote
  • The popularity of your competitors’ website and the investment they are making in SEO

The more you put into a campaign, the greater the result (the better your ranking) at a fairly linear ratio.

Unfortunately, SEO often requires one simply out-spending their competitors. Fortunately, with the right partners like we have, it can be done more efficiently to every spent dollar works harder.
