Ubicom was established is 2013 to provide remote networking capabilities for remote environmental monitoring stations. The flagship product offered pre-provisioned hardware and software providing 2-way (bidirectional) remote communications. The company was later acquired by FTS.

This whitepaper was created to educate prospects about the true costs of collecting data from weather stations in very remote locations. It is these costs which Ubicom had a dramatic impact on, as well as increasing the reliability of the station.
We created the company and product name "Ubicom" from "Ubiquitous Communications"
